CQ Projects

Crafted Quality

Crafted Quality is an approach to living well, enjoying what you can produce or make yourself. With busy working lifestyles many people forget the pleasures and satisfaction that can come from crafting something, whether it be some part of your next meal or a house.

We started this group, with the aim of supporting people to produce their own food, and to promote local food production through education. However we now cover a wider range of topics that relate to leading a good quality, more self sufficient life.

Crafted Quality Food

At CQ we enjoy good food and are pleased to support others to grow and enjoy their own fresh produce.

Crafted Quality Food

Chicken Keeping

Chickens are a pleasure to keep in a back garden.   The benefits they can provide include:

- the freshest of eggs

- pest control - particulary useful at keeping earwigs under control

- chicken poo - great fertiliser and addition to compost heaps.

- adding interest to a garden

Preserving Your Produce

We are strong advocates of eating food when it is fresh and in season.  However given that most food that we can produce is seasonal, we have to take steps to store harvests for later use, to enjoy the fruits of our labour over much of the year.
